Hi there! I'm João Nuno Valente, currently pursuing my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro. My academic journey began with a integrated Master's degree, also in Mechanical Engineering, at the same institution.
Meanwhile, I had the opportunity to spend a year in Italy, specifically in Udine, under the ERASMUS program. And yes, the food was amazing!
My research focuses on developing a new system for three-dimensional vibrometry that integrates stereoscopy with precise laser targeting. This system aims to enable accurate measurement and visualization of vibrations on complex surfaces.
Through this blog, I aim to share insights from my PhD journey, discuss discoveries in the realm of Modal Analysis and Image Processing, and connect with fellow colleagues and enthusiasts. Thank you for joining me on this tumultuous journey!
